Tips for Concerts

Bring your own water!
Cant stress this one enough. It will be insanely hot in venue where your to close for comfort with many other people. Most of the time small venues don't even put on the AC or fans. Having water will not only keep you from getting dehydrated/passing out but you won't have to pay a ridiculous amount for it at the bar if there is one.

Cross body bags no backpacks!
Having a backpack on your back takes up space for everyone and is easy for people to go into without you noticing. A cross body bag can be easily put in front and close to you. Since its low down it doesn't take up space at all and its more comfortable if you choose to bring lots of stuff.

There's rude people, avoid them and don't be rude back.
Whether you like it or not, you are about to be real close with them... for a very long period of time. Keep in mind that even if they are being complete jerks you sort of have a musical bond and are both there for the same reason, to see the artist. If they push or are hitting most of the time they will get kicked out by a bouncer so no worries.

Research the merch before hand.
Nothing sucks more then seeing a item you would die for and realizing you don't have enough money. Most of the time you can find out how much merch costs and what they are selling from fanblogs before hand so please do your research!

Thin layers!
If its going to be chilly when you are waiting in line try to wear thin layers (no matter how weird that sounds). You don't want to be stuck in a 100 degree venue with a huge sweatshirt on because you can't fit it into your bag. Try to wear things you know will be easy to stuff and store during the concert.

No open toed shoes, duh!
Oh God if you ever wear sandals to a show, please expect to leave with some toes missing. Everyone is so close to each other there will always be some feet stepping on yours. Also wear comfortable shoes, you will be standing for a very very... very long time.

Contacts!
If you have contacts please wear them. You don't want your glasses to fall off and get stomped on. Neither do you want to have to bend down into a strangers butt to pick the broken mess up off the ground.

Bring a Hair tie.
If you are planning to wear your hair down, it will get so sweaty and annoying. Also, if you tend to flip your hair, people don't necessarily enjoy a strangers hair in their face haha. Just slip a hair tie onto your wrist before you go, it will be worth it.

Don't bring anything too valuable.
Sure bring a camera but please don't bring something that you would absolutely die if it was lost. Like a large amount of money or important jewelry that could fall off into the crowd never to be found again.

Eat and drink a lot before you go.
No one likes passing out. You will be in a crowd full of people, usual terribly hot and be doing a lot of jumping so please eat before you go. It also makes it hard to pay attention when you are light headed and starving.

Pee before hand.
You aren't going to want to leave your spot in the crowd and miss a song to go to the bathroom. Most of the time you won't even be able to get back into the mass of people. No one is falling for the "My friends right up there!" card anymore, so please pee before the show starts.

Thank you for reading!
